Field Service Manager – Somerset, WI 

Schwing Bioset, Inc. (headquartered in Somerset, WI) is a pioneer in developing high performance, material handling solutions dedicated to serving the wastewater, mining, and industrial markets with specialized products and engineered solutions. Our products are presently installed in a wide variety of custom engineered and highly specialized applications including wastewater treatment plants, mines, power plants, dredging, refineries, pharmaceutical facilities, and chemical processing plants in both US and international markets. SBI is seeking an experienced Field Service Manager at our Somerset, WI location.

Manages the group of Field Service Technicians who perform routine services of maintenance and repair of SBI installations. Must have direct experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Scheduling
  • Workforce Planning
  • Results orientated
  • Develop budget standards
  • Effective oral and written communication skills to effectively resolve escalated issues
  • Time management and prioritizing/delegation of requirements with full ownership of a plan for achieving designated goals
  • Analyze and manage Service Department costs to ensure profit margins and department goals
  • Grow department including through every avenue available by promoting positive hiring techniques, training, and strategies
  • Collaborate with a number of SBI departments for workflow
  • Manage Reporting, Contracts, Work Orders, Purchase Orders and Invoicing for the Department
  • Maintain, foster and support a team that logistically can handle the demands of the service business in an effective manner
  • P/L Responsibility including: Budgeting/Forecasting/Growth/ROI/Staffing requirements/Training/Customer Satisfaction
  • Develop and lead a high performing team focused on customer service and customer experience
  • Develop short term and long-term goals
  • Develop Long term strategies to support current activity level and drive growth
  • Streamline Operations to ensure cost effectiveness
  • Promote interdepartmental Project Management
  • Manage workflow processes and documentation
  • Manage Contract Negotiations and Business Development for the department


  • 4 Year BS or BA in Business, Construction Management, or advanced/related degree required.
  • A technical background preferred • 5+ experience managing direct reports with P/L responsibility
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, SAP, etc.
  • Must be able to demonstrate competence in some or all of the following: Good decision making and execution skill, effective communication skills-both oral and written, knowledge in (and/or ability to learn) hydraulics, electrical systems, pneumatics, mechanical systems and PLC’s preferred
  • Candidates must be willing to travel (estimated 25-40%)

Supporting Qualifications:

Starting pay is dependent on qualifications and experience. This is a hands-one role that will manage a team of traveling Field Service Technicians.
