Schwing Bioset’s screw press technology is proven; proven reliable, proven tough, and proven to perform. It’s currently operating in a wide range of municipal and industrial dewatering applications around the world. That same proven technology is also trailer-mounted, mobile, and available to come to your site temporarily.
Whether it be to get you through an unplanned equipment shutdown, provide temporary dewatering during a larger construction project, manage a peak flow event, or just to trial equipment when considering the purchase of new equipment. No matter how remote, challenging, or unpredictable the dewatering challenges are, Schwing Bioset delivers solutions.
A screw press is a piece of dewatering equipment. The screw inside slowly rotates as material is continuously fed into a perforated drum lined with a screen. Relying on the principle of mechanical compression and filtration, the material is gradually compressed, filtering water out as it passes through the machine.
Commonly found in the municipal wastewater industry, dewatering sludge into cake, other common types of dewatering equipment include centrifuges, which rapidly spin material to achieve separation, and belt presses, which sandwich the sludge between two permeable belts to apply pressure to separate water and solids.
These other types of equipment call for high energy usage, frequent maintenance due to numerous moving parts, noise exceeding OSHA requirements, or a substantial footprint. The screw press, on the other hand, is simple and reliable. It moves slowly, requiring little energy, and contains few moving parts, limiting service and maintenance, all while being virtually silent while operating.

Schwing Bioset has the widest array of screw press models on the market and the largest capacities in the smallest footprint. FSP screw presses run themselves with self-cleaning and full automation available. The mobile units follow suit, featuring the exact same proven technology found permanently installed in facilities around the world.
Other mobile dewatering options may meet some of your expectations, but the Schwing Bioset mobile screw presses exceed them across the board. It offers the flexibility and convenience of portability without compromising the sought-after features, safety, efficiency, reliability, and robust engineering SBI has been delivering for decades.
Schwing Bioset currently offers two mobile units, the skid-mounted 703 and trailer-mounted 1103, which offer capacities up to 400 GPM (gallons per minute) and more. Through our subsidiary, Revinu, leasing options, rental assistance, operators, and more are available from this dedicated team of experts. Wastewater, pulp & paper, biogas, and dairy applications are a few of the applications SBI’s mobile dewatering units are ideally suited for.
