Schwing Bioset, Inc. (SBI) is a fast-paced, growing company located in Somerset, WI, just outside Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. Schwing Bioset exists to pioneer and develop high performance material handling solutions. We are dedicated to serving the wastewater, mining and industrial markets with specialized products and engineered solutions. Our products are presently installed in a wide variety of custom engineered and highly specialized applications including wastewater treatment plants, mines, power plants, dredging, refineries, pharmaceutical facilities, and chemical processing plants in both US and international markets.

Position Summary:

Primary responsibility is to schedule production activities to meet customer-required delivery dates.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Create and maintain the production plan for the production floor (using MS Project or equivalent).
  • Coordinate system demand using material resource planning (MRP) software; Schwing Bioset uses SAP. This demand includes current active project demand and future demand based on annual sales forecast.
  • Review on a regular basis parts shortages for upcoming production:
  • Follow-up with Purchasing as delivery dates approach.
  • Expedite incoming parts as required to meet production schedule.
  • Open Work Orders for stock assemblies.
  • Maintain Keep Fill items


  • Review Production Release from Engineering.
  • Create assembly Routings in MRP system. Set up in WO Summary.
  • Open Work Orders (WO) per Production Plan. Print out pick tickets for Parts Dept. (Coordinate with Parts Dept.)
  • Make required WO changes required during production, and close WO’s upon completion. (Coordinate with Part Dept.)
  • Coordinate with Test Dept. when assembly is complete.
  • Coordinate with Logistics Dept. for transport and painting of tested equipment.
  • Close out WO’s for projects and issue to stock upon job completion. Coordinate with Parts Dept. for returned materials and notify Project Manager for invoicing.
  • Coordinate with Logistics Dept. for shipment of finished goods to contractual destination.

Production Support

  • Weekly Production Priority meeting with internal department heads (Operations, Quality Assurance, Production, Parts and Logistics).
  • Weekly Project Status Review meeting with Operations Manager, and Project Management Teams.
