Expeditor / Inventory Associate – Somerset, WI

Schwing Bioset, Inc. is a fast-paced, growing company located in Somerset, WI, just outside Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. Schwing Bioset exists to pioneer and develop high performance, material handling solutions, and is dedicated to serving the wastewater, mining, and industrial markets with specialized products and engineered solutions. Our products are presently installed in a wide variety of custom engineered and highly specialized applications including wastewater treatment plants, mines, power plants, dredging, refineries, pharmaceutical facilities, and chemical processing plants in both US and international markets.

 

Primary Responsibility:

Primarily responsible for expediting and supporting daily function of the department. Looking for a expeditor/inventory associate that thrives within a fast-paced environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with current and potential suppliers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders
  • Verify receipt of items
  • Compare and evaluate quotes/ prices from suppliers
  • Place entry level purchase orders, online orders and expedite items daily
  • Track the status of requisitions and orders
  • Prepare inventory reports and other reports
  • Monitor daily inventory stock levels
  • Work closely with the parts department to ensure orders are being filled
  • Supports the daily requirements and reporting of the purchasing department
  • Roles and responsibilities may be modified at any time by management

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
  • 1-3 years’ experience with SAP preferred
  • High level expertise in Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Knowledge in (and/or ability to learn) hydraulics, electrical systems, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and PLC’s not required, but a plus
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
