Senior Project Manager – Heavy Manufacturing & Engineered Systems
Location: Stillwater, MN | Full-Time | On-Site Only (M–F)

Schwing Bioset, Inc. is a fast-paced and growing company committed to delivering high-performance, engineered material handling solutions to the wastewater, mining, industrial, and construction sectors. Our systems are custom-designed and installed globally in complex applications including wastewater treatment plants, mines, refineries, chemical processing facilities, and more.

We are seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead and manage the execution of multiple significant capital equipment projects. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in heavy manufacturing environments, possess strong technical and leadership skills, and be comfortable collaborating cross-functionally to meet demanding cost, timeline, and scope expectations. This is a fully in-person role at our Stillwater, MN location (not hybrid or remote eligible). Wastewater or infrastructure project experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities Project Planning (20%)

  • Define scope, deliverables, and key milestones.
  • Create detailed project work breakdown structures.
  • Establish delivery schedules, timelines, and resource allocation in collaboration with internal departments.

Project Financial Management (25%)

  • Maintain project budgets and forecasts aligned with scope and cost targets.
  • Monitor weekly financial reports and investigate variances.
  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to resolve cost deviations and improve performance metrics.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement (15%)

  • Develop and manage communication plans with internal teams and external customers.
  • Deliver regular project updates, issue logs, and executive summaries.
  • Ensure documentation of all project-related issues and resolutions.

Cross-Functional Team Management (15%)

  • Oversee engineering staff assigned to project tasks including design, fabrication, and system release.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Test, and QC teams to ensure project flow and milestones are achieved.

Continuous Improvement (10%)

  • Conduct project close-out reviews and capture lessons learned.
  • Apply improvements and feedback to future projects and processes.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and solution-oriented work environment.

Miscellaneous Duties (15%)

  • Manage and support additional tasks related to project success, coordination, and internal initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
  • 4–10 years of project management experience in a heavy manufacturing, equipment, or construction setting.
  • Strong knowledge of engineered systems and fabrication processes.
  • Proficient in MS Project and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong financial acumen related to budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with wastewater industry standards or infrastructure-related projects.
  • Effective communicator across all levels of an organization, from production teams to senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage through influence, drive accountability, and resolve complex issues.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed for site visits and customer support.
