Painters, Sandblasters, and Paint Prep Technicians – North Branch, MN

Schwing Bioset, Inc. (headquartered in Somerset, WI) is a pioneer in developing high performance, material handling solutions dedicated to serving the wastewater, mining, and industrial markets with specialized products and engineered solutions. Our products are presently installed in a wide variety of custom engineered and highly specialized applications including wastewater treatment plants, mines, power plants, dredging, refineries, pharmaceutical facilities, and chemical processing plants in both US and international markets. SBI is seeking a full-time Painter En nuestro North Branch, MN, location. 

Objetivo: Responsible for painting interior and exterior surfaces of commercial parts using paint, varnishes, lacquers, sealers, or stains.

Funciones esenciales:

• Prepare items or surfaces for application of paint.
• Remove damaged sections using metal-cutting guns, air grinders and wrenches, and install replacement parts using wrenches or welding equipment.
• Cut and tape plastic separating film to outside repair areas to avoid damaging surrounding surfaces during repair procedure, remove tape and wash surfaces after repairs are complete.
• Prime and paint repaired surfaces, using paint spray guns and motorized sanders.
• Fills small dents and scratches with body filler and cleans and prepares surfaces to ensure paint and other finishes will adhere properly.
• May prepare cost estimates of labor and materials for pending paint jobs.
• Color blend into adjacent panels for a better color match to existing paint.
• Works with potentially hazardous materials so attention to safety and personal protection are essential.
• Mix and spray paint and primer per work instructions.
• Document the materials used in the process to maintain traceability.
• Management of the collection, disposal, and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.
• Maintain spray equipment.
• Select appropriate paint or mix paints using paint mixing equipment.

Cualificaciones:

• Must have High School Diploma. Associate Degree is preferred.
• Painter certification and at least 1 year experience as a commercial parts painter.
• Mechanical ability to use sanders, wire wheels, power washer, and other equipment such as forklift and overhead crane system.
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.
