Mechanical Engineer – North Branch, MN

Schwing Bioset (headquartered in Somerset, WI) is a pioneer in developing high performance, material handling solutions dedicated to serving the wastewater, mining, and industrial markets with specialized products and engineered solutions. Our products are presently installed in a wide variety of custom engineered and highly specialized applications including wastewater treatment plants, mines, power plants, dredging, refineries, pharmaceutical facilities, and chemical processing plants in both US and international markets. We are seeking Mechanical Engineers for our Screw Press and Conveyor Business Unit. This is an in-office position located at our facility in North Branch, MN.

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for working on all stages of our production cycles, from research and design to manufacturing, installation, and evaluation.

• Designing, manufacturing, and installing components that fulfill requirements.
• Analyzing problems or deficiencies in assigned product line and developing solutions to resolve them.
• Conducting experiments and evaluations to improve and innovate product designs.
• Creating plans and designs using CAD technology.
• Estimating budgets and time scopes for each project.
• Writing technical documentation for machine operators.
• Ensuring that products meet compliance regulations.
• Collaborating with project managers and other engineers in our team.
• Conduct all activities within the guidelines of all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1+ yrs experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment, drive trains, hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid mechanics, welding practices, stress analysis, and machine design.
• Proficient in design and calculation software.
• Highly analytical mind with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
