los Director, Project Management Office is a departmental leadership role for a seasoned PM. This role is responsible for leading a team of Project Management Professionals at SBI tasked with managing a complex portfolio of projects. The role will include monitoring of overall departmental performance, formulation of PM strategies including departmental processes and operations. The Director will be responsible for growing and maturing Schwing Bioset’s Project Management Team while providing leadership and strategic guidance for this key function of SBI’s Professional Services team.

You will be responsible for achieving and improving upon the PMO team’s targets for productivity, efficiency, and quality by continuously assessing the current state of the organization/Department, making recommendations, and driving solutions. Additionally, you will be accountable to motivate, inspire and coach a high performing team of full-time team members ensuring a good balance between continuous improvement, engagement, and goal achievement.

Essential Job Functions Include:

· Defining PM priorities, goals which include full project life cycles ownership and devising methods to accomplish them

· Manage the PM’s execution of projects and monitor progress, providing accurate and timely information to Senior Management

· Mentor PM staff on processes and tasks and work with external stakeholders – including developing the process/plan for supporting solutions that will address client goals while maintaining the alignment with industry best practices

· Research best practices within and outside the organization and incorporate them in daily operations

· Develop deep partnerships with our Engineering, Manufacturing and Product Management teams to deliver against required goals

· Ensure PM teams excel in leadership, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, teamwork, collaboration, professionalism, work ethic, organization, and communication skills

· Oversee the development of project tracking and KPI dashboards and tools to support the Project Managers and individual Project KPI’s including scope, budget, and resources

· Accountable for efficient and effective facilitation of regular and highly visible Project Management governance mechanisms

· Train, coach and set expectations for all Project managers to improve Project Management capabilities

· Build a culture within the PM team that aligns with SBI’s values and enables peer to peer accountability

· Establish the pathways for escalation of project issues within the organization to provide the right level of awareness and decision making

· Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature the required capabilities for the organization

Job Qualifications:

· 6 years of Project Management Experience with Bachelors. (4 years Project Management experience with a Masters Degree)

· Minimum Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management

· Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technical organizations

· Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and overall achieve objectives and results

· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

· Self-motivated, decisive with ability to adapt to change

· Experience with negotiating and managing customer contracts

· Expert knowledge and technical skills related to project and operations management

· Nice to have – PMP or other Project Management Certification
