Citizens Energy Group operates the Belmont Advanced Wastewater treatment plant for the City of Indianapolis which treats a peak flow of over 300 million gallons per day. The biosolids are dewatered by centrifuges to a cake dryness of up to 30% solids content and pumped to incineration. The existing Schwing Bioset piston pumps had been in service for over 15 years and were approaching the end of their service life.<\/p>\n

system. The new model KSP45 pumps will transport cake with dry solids content as high as 30% solids to the required incinerator feed ports. As a result of the increased automation and improved flow control, the new pumps will additionally reduce the amount of attention required by plant staff.<\/p>\n

New Schwing Bioset Biosolids Cake Pumps Improve Flow Control<\/h4>\r\nCitizens Energy Group operates the Belmont Advanced Wastewater treatment plant for the City of Indianapolis which treats a peak flow of over 300 million gallons per day.
