Pipeline Lubrication System

Schwing Bioset's pipeline lubrication system has proven to significantly reduce pipeline pressure for the material being pumped. The lubricating fluids provide a uniform thin film that separates viscous and sticky materials from the inner wall of the pipeline and effectively lowers the pipeline friction loss and pipeline operating pressure. In some cases the pressures are reduced in excess of 50%.

Reducing the operating pressure makes it possible to increase the pumping distance while at the same time reducing the operation and maintenance costs.

A continuous annular ring evenly introduces lubricating fluid in the direction of material flow around the inner wall of the pipeline. This design limits the penetration of the lubricating fluid into viscous materials maximizing the lubricating effect while minimizing the amount of fluid that must be added to a dewatered material. Pipeline Lubrication Systems can utilize water, oil, or polymer as the lubricating agent.
