Municipal Pumps
Schwing Bioset, Inc. is a recognized
leader in sludge pump technology. SBI units pump dewatered
biosolids from Belt Presses, Centrifuges, Plate & Frame Presses,
and Rotary Presses with dry solids content up to 56%. The
versatile pumps have been used in both large and small
wastewater plants since 1984 and remain a preferred technology
for conveying dewatered biosolids.
With volumetric capacities over
250 gpm and operating pressures up to 1,500 psi, and
a proven history of reliability and ease of maintenance,
it is easy to see why Schwing Bioset piston pumps have
become a favorite of Consulting Engineers, Operators
and Mechanics alike. Originally
designed to pump concrete, these piston pumps adapt easily
to the rigors of wastewater treatment plant service with
many units have operated continuously for years with
99% availability.
In addition to their use in pumping dewatered biosolids,
the piston pumps have also been successfully used to
pump the scum and grease collected in a wastewater treatment
plant.
